After 20 years of active military service and 11 years as a JROTC Instructor, I am excited to be here at Goldsboro High School for the last Six years. I entered the Army as a Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Specialist which afforded me the opportunity to travel and serve in countries such as Cambodia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and numerous other countries throughout the world. These travels and my interaction with different cultures influenced my interest to study individual and group behaviors in an academic environment.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Dual Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management / Development. Additionally, I am a federally trained mediator and facilitator. Some of my most memorable accomplishments consist of being rated as a Highly Effective Teacher, a National Scholastic Scholar, and selected as Equal Opportunity Advisor of the Year for United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).  Additionally, I am proud to have coached Drill and Raider Teams in which they competed at the state level.

I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, staying physically fit, and camping. Most of all, I am really passionate about helping others achieve their goals and be better citizens.
